Humor permeates every part of my life. I view everything and everybody through the prism of humor. Sometimes my observations are offensive to prissy folks, but that is their problem, not mine. I'm a shoot-from-the-lip type and I call 'em as I see 'em.
You might say that I've been a jack-of-all-trades (or is it jackette?). I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an author and columnist. I have worked in: libraries; the corporate world; managed a successful sales team for ten years; acted in community theater; did a little television and film work; been a radio disk jockey and was a high school English teacher for a very short time.
When I was a child, my brand of humor got me in lots of trouble, but I was just perfecting my style back then. Oddly enough, what is funny to a child is not necessarily funny to parents or teachers.
I love to make people smile and laugh because there are altogether too many things that can and do make us frown. My mission is to lift the corners of your lips, ease the hard look in your eyes and perhaps even lift your spirits.
